To install VisualBots for Excel, download the Installer program that is available
on our download web page, run the file, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Software Requirements
- Microsoft Excel 2000, 2002 (XP), 2003 (XP), 2007, or later
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.00 or later (does not have to be your default
browser)
- Personal computer with Pentium-equivalent microprocessor (400
MHz or faster)
- At least 128 MB of RAM
- Video graphics adapter and monitor with at least 800x600 resolution
Excel Macro Security for Excel 2000, 2002, and 2003
In order to use the VisualBots simulator and Helper Add-in you may need
to modify your Excel macro security settings :
- Open Excel.
- Click on Tools > Macro > Security
from the worksheet menu bar.
- Select "Medium" on the "Security
Level" tab.
- Click on the "Trusted Publishers" tab.
- Check the "Trust all installed add-ins
and templates" option.
- For XP versions of Excel, check the "Trust
access to Visual Basic Project" option.
- Close and reopen Excel with the new settings.
Warning: Making the above
changes to the Excel security level can put your computer at additional
risk. You should only make these changes if you understand and accept these
risks and if you have installed anti-virus protection software.
Excel Macro Security for Excel 2007 or Later
In order to use the VisualBots simulator and Helper Add-in you may need
to modify your Excel macro security settings :
- Open Excel.
- Click on Office Button> Excel Options> Trust Center > Trust Center
Settings.
- Select "Macros Settings" tab.
- Click on the "Disable all macros with notification" option under Macro
Settings.
- Check the "Trust access to VBA project object model" option
under Developer Macro settings.
- Select "ActiveX Settings" tab.
- Click on the "Prompt me before enabling all controls with minimal
restrictions" option.
- Check the "Safe mode" option.
- Click OK, close Excel, and reopen Excel with the new settings.

changes to the Excel security level can put your computer at additional

risks and if you have installed anti-virus protection software.
Uninstalling
There are two ways to safely remove VisualBots for Excel from your computer:
- Select Start > All Programs > VisualBots
for Excel > Uninstall VisualBots for Excel. The uninstaller program will
remove the software from your computer.
- Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove
Programs. Select the VisualBots for Excel from the list of programs. Click
Change/Remove. The uninstaller program will remove the software from you
computer.
