Upgrade Instructions
If you are upgrading from a previous version of VisualBots for Excel,
then follow the instructions below to insure a smooth transition to the
new and improved software.
- Before installing the upgrade version, backup all simulations saved
in Excel to text files. Click on the Export Project button on the
VisualBots Simulator toolbar to save your project as a text file. After
you have installed the new version of the software, you may have
to start with
a new spreadsheet,
insert
the
simulator,
and
import your simulation project. Depending on the version of the last
install, simulation projects saved in spreadsheets may or may not
function after upgrading.
- If you modified any of the sample simulation projects that came shipped
with an earlier version of the software, you should back these up
to a personal directory, or rename them. Installing a new version of
the
software will overwrite the sample simulation projects.
